Before the resettlement, explanatory work was carried out among the population on the choice of sites specified in this resolution (the cities of Rogun and Tursunzade, the districts of Nurabad, Rudaki and Dangara). The resettles, fully supporting the policy of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan on the construction of the Rogun HPP, were distributed according to their choice in the indicated areas to the places of new residence. According to the approved list of migrants, household plots in new places of residence are distributed by lot. It is important to note that such land plots are allocated to each family, and not just to households, giving each family the opportunity to have their own plot of land and the opportunity to build their own house.
