Cooperation with Experts of the Asian Development Bank
From September 18 to 20, 2025, experts of the Asian Development Bank on environmental and social issues, led by Christoph Meindl, visited the resettlement process of villages located in the flooding zone: resettled villages of Rogun city and Nurabad district, villages currently undergoing resettlement in Rogun city and Nurabad district, and villages to be resettled in the future in Nurabad district. They also visited the new residential areas for migrants from the flooding zone in Nurabad, Fayzobod districts, and the city of Tursunzoda. During the visit, they became acquainted with both advanced and newly constructed infrastructure facilities, such as general secondary schools, health centers, internal and external engineering networks for drinking water, electricity, sewage, vertical wells, water reservoirs, roads and footpaths, and cultural–recreational parks. At the same time, they discussed social issues and the restoration of livelihoods of the resettled population.
