MEETING WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF THE WORLD BANK
On October 24, 2025, a delegation from the World Bank, led by Sanjay Srivastava (Practice Manager, Environment, Natural Resources and Blue Economy Global Practice, Europe and Central Asia, World Bank) visited the Directorate of the Flooding Zone of the Rogun Hydropower Plant.
During the visit, a meeting was held with the participation of the Director, Manuchehr Jamilzoda, where issues related to the resettlement process of the local population and social support measures were discussed.
After the meeting, the World Bank delegation visited Toychi village of the J. Rahmonov jamoat and Secondary School №119 in the city of Tursunzoda.
The World Bank delegation also met with local residents and visited the families that had been resettled several years earlier. During the conversation, they became acquainted with the living conditions of the relocated families and highly appreciated the progress of their adaptation to the new places of residence.
