Meeting with the resettled residents of the Aligalaboni bolo and Khumrogh villages of the Hakimi Jamoat, Nurabad District
On November 13, 2025, according to the work plan of the State Institution “Directory of the Flooding Zone of the Rogun HPP,” a meeting was held with the residents being resettled from the Aligalaboni bolo and Khumrog villages of the Hakimi Jamoat of Nurabad District regarding the selection of a new places of residence and the preparation of a list of households and families.
Representatives from the Ministry of Labor, Migration, and Employment of Population of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Deputy Chairman of Nurabad District, and relevant district structures attended the meeting.
The Deputy Director of the State Institution “Directory of the Flooding Zone of the Rogun HPP” Saidzoda R., delivered a speech noting that, for the timely resettlement of residents of these villages, which are identified in the population resettlement operation plan (RAP-2), 140 land plots have been prepared in the 10th Anniversary of Independence Jamoat of Tursunzoda City. In Nurabad District, in five locations: Roguni Bolo village (18.8 ha), Darband town (7 ha), Obi Lurd village (40.24 ha), Tughchi village (37.67 ha) and Khufak village (14.32 ha) – a total of 923 household plots have been prepared. The overall plans for these areas were presented.
Then, representatives of the Ministry of Labor, Migration and Employment of Population of the Republic of Tajikistan provided detailed
information on the benefits, assistance, and support that the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan offers to the population during the resettlement process.
Regarding the above-mentioned issues, Razokov Abdunazar – a teacher at Primary School No. 75, Rizvonov Kahramon, and Khonov Amriddin (employee of the Rogun HPP from Khumrogh village), Karimov Sunatullo (head of the neighborhood), Faizulloev Tufalag and Halimov Abduroziq (residents of Aligalabon village) – shared their opinions. They asked to provide them with land plots in the Fayzobod District.
After reviewing the agenda items, it was decided that, in the coming days, a delegation representing of these villages led by the relevant structures of the Executive Authority of Nurabad District will visit the Dashti Mahtobi area of Fayzobod District and then present their conclusions.
